Tickets cost £6 per adult, under 12s are free

The festival including the markets and demos are FREE entry. Specific events are at various prices (which can be found on the website programme)

Where and When
The festival market, bars, and demonstrations are located on Parliament Street and St Sampsons Square.

Events such as food factory, wine tastings, dinners, trails etc are city wide

Parking at York Food Festival
York Food Festival is situated in York City Centre. You can park at any of the council car parks listed here
Please note that coaches are not permitted inside the city walls.

Children
There is plenty for children to do at York Food Festival. From watching chef demonstrations to cookery workshops (Food Factory) to a cookie tour! We aim to provide something for all ages to take part in and enjoy.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are welcome at York Food Festival.

Toilets
There are public toilets on Silver Street, just off St Sampsons Square. These are owned by York Council and have a charge of 40p for use. There are baby-changing facilities and a disabled toilet. Our main festival also has portable toilets at both bar areas.

Cash Points
There are a range of cash points on Parliament Street. HSBC, Barclays and the Royal Bank of Scotland all have cash points outside.

Vegetarians/Vegans
There is plenty of vegetarian and vegan food on offer at York Food Festival. Many stalls have vegetarian/vegan alternatives.

YORK FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL

York City Centre

York Food & Drink Festival is returning in Autumn 2025, running from the 19th to the 28th of September, to put on ten days of food & drink with a community focus and lots of tasty events to get stuck into. Tickets will be available soon for all events, and the highlights will include:

Around 70 Street food and Produce stands will take over Parliament Street with a broad range of treats to enjoy.

Our Entertainment Marquee on Parliament Street will have a diverse range of drinks to enjoy, as well as hosting Live for St Leonard’s Hospice to give a great soundtrack to the event.

St Sampson’s Square will feature more live music as well as opportunities to eat and drink.

St Crux Hall at the bottom of The Shambles will be another festival destination as it has in previous years. You’ll find demonstrations, events, tastings, and sampling here.
